CSM London FC 5-1 Bakers693 FC: (My match report from Parsloes Park Hub)

After an excellent 3-1 win for CSM London against Chadwell Heath Spartans on Saturday, Will Brobby’s side welcomed Bakers693 to the Parsloes Park Hub on Tuesday night, in an Essex Alliance Football League Senior Division fixture. Bakers693 had lost 7-0 to AS Rapid Londra, in their opening league game of the season, on Saturday. This step 7 match was won 5-1 by CSM London, in what was a good team performance from the home side. It was the home side who created the first goalscoring chance of the first half. As following a good defensive intervention from Bakers693 defender Darius Egualeonan, inside of the away side’s penalty area, the ball was then picked up by Ramiz Mahmood. The CSM London player’s powerful effort on goal was well pushed away by the Bakers693 goalkeeper, Ryan Bungaradu. A couple of minutes after that chance, Dylan Flynn managed to get to the ball inside of the Bakers693 box, but his low effort went just wide of the goal.

A pass from Bakers693 player Bilal Adegbite, would find Vinicius Pereira on the left-hand side of the CSM London penalty area. However, Pereira was met by goalkeeper Dylan Walsh, who closed down his angles well, before then saving his resulting effort on goal. There were quite a lot of chances during the early stages of the game. After Nana-Sika Sarfo had headed wide, from a CSM London corner-kick into the Bakers693 penalty area, a quick throw-in from the away side would almost result in the home side taking an early lead. Bilal Adegbite’s throw-in to Marcus Bamidele on the left-hand side of the home team’s box, would result in Bamidele lifting an effort over the outrushing goalkeeper. However, the alert Lewis Wallace was on hand, to clear the ball off the goal-line.

Following a free-kick for Bakers693, the ball was then picked up by Djeef Bazeyi on the edge of the home team’s box. However, his resulting curling effort went wide of the goal. CSM London were looking to dominate possession of the ball, and they were really looking to get an early goal, during the first half. After Luke McElroy had an effort (on the turn) from the edge of the away side’s penalty area, which was held by Ryan Bungaradu, Derrich Osei-Assibey would hit a good dipping effort just over the goal, from distance. Not too long before half-time CSM London would take the lead. Defender Michael Payne’s lofted forward pass found the run of Jesse Jones, down the left flank inside of the final third. Jones would take the ball forward, into the left-hand side of the Bakers693 box, before passing the ball to Ramiz Mahmood, who finished high into the goal, from his first time effort, 1-0.

Right on the byline, a CSM London free-kick was awarded just before half-time. Michael Payne would head an effort wide from Luke McElroy’s delivery, before (a couple of minutes later) Ramiz Mahmood would hit a powerful effort wide of the Bakers693 goal, from the edge of their penalty area. A good forward run with the ball from Luke McElroy during the opening stages of the second half would see him take the ball into the Bakers693 box, however, his powerful effort was well pushed away by Ryan Bungaradu, at his near post. The next chance that CSM London would create, would result in them scoring their second goal of the game. With Dylan Flynn picking the ball up just outside of the away side’s penalty area, before hitting a powerful and quite simply unstoppable effort on goal, which despite Ryan Bungaradu making some contact with the ball, he was unable to stop it from going into the back of the net, 2-0.

CSM London had improved further in their all-round play and overall intensity, at this point in the game. Luke McElroy and Josh Duah would both have low efforts on goal, which were saved and gathered by Ryan Bungaradu, before Dylan Flynn went on a good surging forward run, into the Bakers693 penalty area, before seeing his fine effort on goal well pushed behind by the goalkeeper. And then from the following corner-kick the ball fell to Michael Payne, whose deflected effort from close range, went just wide of the goal. From the resulting corner-kick delivery, Conrad Doggett headed an effort wide of the goal. During the resulting five minutes CSM London players Given Jermaine and Nana-Sika Sarfo would both have efforts that were saved by Ryan Bungaradu. However, a chance which was then created by Daniel Balogun’s Bakers693 side, would see them go so close to narrowing the deficit in the game.

After Dylan Walsh had rushed out of his goal to try and clear the ball, it was then picked up by Vinicius Pereira, around 22 yards out from goal. Pereira’s good, curling effort went just wide of the right-hand post. CSM London would then build forward up the pitch, with the ball. Shortly after Dylan Flynn would have an effort from the right-hand side of the Bakers693 box, deflected onto the goalkeeper’s left-hand post, before going behind for a corner-kick. It was following that corner-kick that the ball was worked out to Dylan Flynn on the right flank, and the skilful forward would then whip an excellent effort over the goalkeeper and into the goal, 3-0. Efforts from Marcus Bamidele and Derrich Osei-Assibey, would both go just wide of the respective team’s goals, before three goals in quick succession were scored.

Goal number four of the game was scored by Dylan Flynn, who after receiving Derrich Osei-Assibey’s pass just inside of the Bakers693 penalty area, would hit a good placed effort into the bottom left-hand corner of the goal, for his hat-trick goal, 4-0. And the excellent Dylan Flynn would then get his fourth goal of the match, soon after. As the winger got to the ball on the right-hand side of the pitch, before then taking the ball to the edge of the Bakers693 penalty area, from where his powerful and clinical low effort found the back of the goal, 5-0. Bakers693 would get a goal back soon after, following some really good work from their centre-forward, Marcus Bamidele. Having been given the ball from Raheem Butt, into his feet, inside of the CSM London penalty area, Bamidele would turn well with the ball. He would then do really well with his resulting low effort, as it found the bottom left-hand corner of the goal, 5-1.

Very late on in second half additional time, CSM London player Given Jermaine would head an effort just over from close range, after meeting a cross towards the back post of the Bakers693 goal. This was a really good performance, particularly in the second half of the match, from CSM London. They passed the ball around really well, but it was the player of the match, the very clinical Dylan Flynn, who with his four goals really made a tremendous impression on the match. CSM London were well organised across the pitch, and they communicated really well as a team, really deserving to continue their 100% start to the season. I thought that their captain, Lewis Wallace, was also excellent at left-back, with Michael Payne just another of many players who did very well during the match, in my opinion.

For Bakers693 I thought that central defender Darius Egualeonan and goalkeeper Ryan Bungaradu, were their best players on Tuesday.
