
The Essex Alliance Football League Senior and Premier Divisions (weekly round-up) for the week starting on Monday the 2nd of September:
The first game of the week was on Tuesday night, as Frenford Development faced Philip United, at the Jack Carter Centre (The Drive). In what was a really good and competitive match, which the home side won 4-3. This game was played at a great intensity for the majority of the 90 minutes, but it was the game management of this inform Frenford Development side, which made sure that they got the win, against a very good side. Goals from Reon Murray-Whyte, Bilal Hussain (he also provided two assists), Amal Mujuzi and Tyler Shillingford, secured the win for Wayne Phillips’ side. For Philip United, David Agboola, Caleb Roberts and John Quissua, got their goals.
In the second midweek fixture, Chadwell Heath Spartans came back from 1-0 down to impressively win 5-1 against AS Rapid Londra, at the Jack Carter Centre (on Wednesday). After Ionut Labunt had got the opening goal of the game, goals from Thomas Callagher, James Hanly, Billy Gipp and Brandon Johnson (he got two goals) made sure of the win for Aaron Hunwicks’ side. CSM London would continue their unbeaten start to the league season, when they won 2-1 against FC Petrocub London, at Parsloes Park Hub on Friday night. The inform Jesse Jones was among the goals once again for CSM London, in that game. And in the other league game, which was also taking place in east London on Friday night, Lymore Gardens recorded a 2-0 home win over Fairlop Rovers. Artem Lukash and Dylan Roberts got their goals.
Onto Saturday’s step 7 and 8 action of the Essex Alliance Football League, and in the Senior Division Kulture FC won 3-0 away to AS Rapid Londra, at Lakeside Sports Ground. This was the first time at this early stage of the season, that the north London club have recorded successive wins in the league. And in Harlow, Ongar Town impressively won 4-1 against Waltham Forest Borough, at the Mark Hall Sports Centre, courtesy of goals from Gilson Das Neves Pereira, Scout Brown, Mofi Tunde-Ojolowo and Finlay Cook. Shomari Raheem Barnwell got Waltham Forest Borough’s goal. Back to east London, and Philip United responded really well to losing to Frenford Development in midweek, by recording a good 2-1 home victory over Haringey Borough Under 23s.
At Wadham Lodge, Sporting Hackney got their first win of the league season, as they won 7-0 against Bakers693. And in the later game on the same pitch at Wadham Lodge, Frenford Development recorded a big 6-1 win over Walthamstow Reserves, to move back up to the top of the league table. Courtesy of a hat-trick of goals from Bilal Hussain, and goals from Tyler Shillingford, Faruk Abdullahi and Damilola Olaiya (Bilel Benyoucef got Walthamstow Reserves’ goal). And in the final league match from the Senior Division, Woodford Town Reserves continued their fine start to life in this division, with a 4-1 home win over Chadwell Heath Spartans. Arthur Massingham (he got a brace), Jack Barnes and Albert James, got the goals for the home side. Ryan O’Connell got the away side’s goal.
At step 8 of the Essex Alliance Football League (the Premier Division East) Dagenham United and Barkingside Reserves played out a 2-2 draw, in their season opener. FC Baresi Reserves had been losing 1-0 to Greengate District, but they were able to get a draw (1-1) thanks to an equalising goal from Tori Rendall. Inter Newbury won 4-1 at home to Kit Out London (at Parsloes Park Hub), in this season opener. Shaquille Ishmael (he scored two goals), Meeshaq Malone and McRay Denov, got Inter Newbury’s goals, with Joshua Boateng-Obiorah getting Kit Out London’s only goal of the game. Also, in the Premier Division East, Redbridge Community recorded a 4-2 home win (also at Parsloes Park Hub) over league debutants Motormen, on Saturday afternoon.
Romford Town Flyers’ first game at step 8, in the same division, would end in them winning 5-2 at home to Something From Nothing, at Westland Playing Fields. Alvin Smeraldi, Rhys Ofori, Seyhan Cucel, Bobby Brown and Tadhiwa Chihonde, got the goals for the home side. And finally in the Premier Division East, Waltham Abbey A beat Soul Tower Hamlets Reserves, 5-2 (at home). In the only game which was taking place at in the Premier Division West on Saturday afternoon, Priory Park Rangers won 3-0 at home to North East Lions, at Parsloes Park Hub.
The Middlesex County Football League Premier and step 8 divisions (weekly round-up) for the week starting on Monday the 2nd of September:
There weren’t any midweek fixtures in the Middlesex Premier Division, during this week. However, there were a number of fixtures on Saturday, of which included step 7 and step 8 matches. In the Premier Division of the Middlesex League, Camden & Islington United continued their unbeaten start to the league season, by recording a 3-1 home win over Indian Gymkhana Club. Goals from Chihab Eddine Benhebil, Clement Jeans and an own goal, would help Camden & Islington United to achieve their second league victory out of three matches played, so far. At Wembley FC (Vale Farm), Eagles Land Cricklewood recorded an impressive 6-2 home league victory over Camden United. And over at Northwood FC, the league leaders (Hayes & Hillingdon) won 4-2 against the defending league champions, Pitshanger Dynamo. With Jamie Gourey (his fifth goal of the season), Danny McDonnell, Oluwatobi Shodipo and Benjamin Woodard getting Hayes & Hillingdon’s goals.
Danny Brissett’s Jolof Sports side made it four wins from four, in what sounded like a performance of real character, as they won 3-2 away to London Tigers. Another side who have a 100% record in the league, is Stonewall FC. The east London club won 3-0 at home to Kensington Dragons. Yusuf Isiaq, James Motley and Jay Lemonius, got the goals for Stonewall, at the West Ham Memorial Ground. Also over in east London, Kodak (Harrow) won their first game of the season, 1-0 to away to Soccer Stars Fennecs. Kalonji Lazare got the winning goal of that game. At Spratleys Meadow, SL Benfica returned to winning ways as they beat Larkspur Rovers, 3-2. Egidio Mahmoud, Benjamin Byron Okon and Laye Sangare, got SL Benfica’s goals. And also from the Premier Division, Hilltop Reserves won 3-1 (away) to Shepherds Bush.
In the only opening fixture of the Middlesex Division One (East & Central) season, FC Marylebone started their season with a big 7-0 win. Among the goals for the home side was Jevonte Deabreau, who impressively scored four goals on Saturday. In an opening fixture in the Middlesex Division One (South & West) CB Hounslow & Abbots A, won 7-4 away to the Brentham, at the Brentham Club. Among the goals for CB Hounslow & Abbots A, were Joshua Morrison-Chase and Kaelem Richardson, who both got hat-tricks. Harrow United recorded a 1-1 draw with AFC Southall, at the Brunel University Sports Complex, with Damian Rajendren getting the goal for the visitors. Also, the clinical Matthew Dent started this season in a similar way to how he had finished last season, by scoring a brace, as Ickenham FC recorded a 2-2 away draw with Ruislip Town.
The final game in the South & West division, came from Cranford Community College, as West London Athletic won 4-0 against SL Benfica B. Said El Assisi got a hat-trick in that game. In the Middlesex (North & West Division) Bloomsbury won 3-2 at home to Bessingby Park Rangers. Also, Celtic (1995) FC lost 2-0 at home to Hillside AFC. And the final game to mention from this weeks round-up came from Vale Farm Sports Centre, as the visiting side and debutants at this level (Portobello FC) won 3-1 against Eagles Land Cricklewood XI. Thomas Atkins, Christian Kop Bordin and Daniel Flowers, got the goals for Portobello.
