My Essex Alliance Football League Senior and Premier Divisions weekly round-up, for this week:

On Friday night Philip United faced CSM London, at Parsloes Park Hub. This Senior Division fixture sounded like it was a really good game, between two really good sides. CSM London won this match 2-1, courtesy of goals from Luke Sinnott-Thomas and Ramiz Mahmood, meaning that CSM London move back to the top of the league table. On Saturday afternoon Chadwell Heath Spartans returned to winning ways, with a 5-2 home win over Waltham Forest Borough, with Peter Adeleye (he got two goals on Saturday) and Billy Gipp among the goals for Aaron Hunwicks’ side.

Over at Fairlop Oak Playing Fields, Fairlop Rovers impressively won their fixture with AS Rapid Londra, 4-0. Fairlop Rovers’ goals came courtesy of Logan Simmonds (he got a brace), Aodan Downer and Danyal Arshad, as Fairlop Rovers got their second league win of the season. Lymore Gardens continued their fine start to the 2024/25 season, with a 4-2 win away over FC Petrocub London, at Noak Hill Sports Complex, as they continue to look like real contenders for the league title, despite it being such early days in the season.

Frenford Development lost their first game of the season on Saturday, at home to Ongar Town, as Tony West’s side continued their good start to the season. Scout Brown and Ebenezer Fasoranti got Ongar Town’s goals, in east London. Kulture FC made it three wins in a row on Saturday, as they beat Sporting Hackney 2-0, at home. Mohamed Abubakar got both the goals for Kenneth Boateng’s side. In what sounded like a great game of football over at Wadham Lodge, the away side (Haringey Borough Under 23s) won 3-2 against Walthamstow Reserves, courtesy of goals from Stephane Mgbada, Akilijo Balliu, and Albie Tyler. And the final game from the senior division, saw Woodford Town Reserves win 12-0 at home to Bakers693. Among the goals in that game was Albert James, who got a hat-trick.

In the Premier Division East, and Barkingside Reserves won 3-0 at home to Inter Newbury, in what was their second match of the season. Over at Noak Hill Sports Complex, Dagenham United got their first win of the season, as they beat Greengate District 2-1, courtesy of goals from Cain Dash and Halameen Agbaje. At Parsloes Park Hub, Kit Out London lost 1-0 to Waltham Abbey A, as the visitors got their second win of the season. Over in Fairlop, and Motormen won 4-2 at home to Something From Nothing, thanks to goals from Roy Stevens (he got a hat-trick) and Niccolo Marcolini.

After having started their season with a draw, FC Baresi Reserves lost their second game of the season 2-1 (on Saturday), away to Romford Town Flyers. Kofi Broni and Oluwatimilehin Bibilope Adekola got the home team’s goals, with Ronnie Karayianni getting the visiting team’s goal. FC Baresi Reserves did have a player sent off in this match in Romford. The final game in the Premier Division East saw Redbridge Community beat Soul Tower Hamlets Reserves 3-1 (away).

In the Premier Division West goals from Nnamdi Efobi, James Codling, and Mikael Martin, saw North East Lions record a 3-0 away win over league debutants City Of Westminster, at Hackney Marshes. London Cranes recorded a good 5-1 away win over London Park City, on Saturday, with Wyclef Kayonjo getting three of their goals. Newham Wanderers won 5-2 at home to Unitey, and over at Ford Sport & Social, there were two games taking place in this division on Saturday afternoon. One of those games saw Sporting Bengal United Reserves win 2-0 (thanks to goals from Abid Haque and Ouail Akrirout) against newly promoted side Saint City. The other game taking place over at Newbury Park, was the game that I was covering on Saturday, as Vallance FC and Stratford East (both making their debuts in the league) were involved in a really good game of football. Vallance won in this match 5-3 (you can read my match report on my blog), with their clinical centre-forward Brady Landu getting four of their goals.
