My weekly round-up of The Essex Alliance Football League (step 7 and step 8):

On Tuesday night in the Essex Alliance Football League Senior Division, Frenford Development returned to winning ways, as they emphatically won their game home fixture with AS Rapid Londra, 6-1. Among the goals for Frenford Development, at The Jack Centre, was Callum Alexander and Isima Iguisi, who both got braces. On Friday night in north London, Haringey Borough Under 23s scored six goals against Bakers693, as they recorded a 6-0 league victory at Coles Park. Braces from Kevin Akpoedafe and Louis Nathanael, and a goal from Sertan Kirman, ensured the win for Haringey Borough Under 23s. In the other game on Friday night, two of the inform teams in the league, in Lymore Gardens and Woodford Town Reserves, faced each other in a league meeting at the home ground of Redbridge FC. Lymore Gardens won this match 2-0, thanks to goals from Ryo Brown and Malik Donaldson.

Onto Saturday’s action in the Essex Alliance Football League (at step 7 and step 8), and Philip United won 5-0 away to AS Rapid Londra, at Lakeside Sports Ground, in the Senior Division. In a close game at The Jack Carter Centre, the league’s second place team in the league, CSM London, won 1-0 away to Chadwell Heath Spartans. Their top goalscorer Jesse Jones, got the winning goal in that game, from the penalty spot. Over at Noak Hill Sports Ground, Eny Okoro’s Walthamstow Reserves side returned to winning ways, with a 2-0 win over FC Petrocub London. Bilel Benyoucef and Chamario Hemley got Walthamstow’s goals. 

Senior Division league leaders Frenford Development won 5-0 at home to Fairlop Rovers, on Saturday afternoon, in east London. Braces from Keenan Gravillis and Faruk Abdullahi, as well as a goal from Reon Murray-Whyte, helped Wayne Phillips’ side to another big league victory. The final game that was happening in the Senior Division on Saturday, saw Sporting Hackney and Ongar Town, draw 0-0 at Wadham Lodge. In the London Saturday Junior Cup, and Kulture FC extended their winning run, by winning their cup-tie with CP Dons, 5-1, away from home. Step 8 sides involved in that competition on Saturday, included North East Lions and FC Baresi Reserves, who faced each other at the Peter May Sports Centre. North East Lions won this cup-tie 3-0. And Stratford East’s away cup game with FC Battersea, was awarded to the home side, FC Battersea.

In the Premier Division East, and Dagenham United won 2-0 at home to Kit Out London, at Robert Clack Sports Centre. Goals from Hafidh Suleiman Ally and Tajean Lewis, got Dagenham United’s goals. In the same division, Greengate District won 2-1 at home to Redbridge Community, with their goals coming from Ibrahim Basri and Mohamed Ali. At Parsloes Park Hub, Inter Newbury recorded a 3-3 draw with Motormen, and at Fairlop Oak Playing Fields, Barkingside Reserves won 4-0 away to Something From Nothing. The final game from the Premier Division East, saw Romford Town Flyers continue their fine start to the season, with a 3-1 away win over a very good Waltham Abbey A side.

There were three games taking place in the Premier Division West, on Saturday. Priory Park Rangers lost 3-1 at home to Newham Wanderers. Newly promoted side Saint City impressively won 7-0 at home to London Park City, at Flanders Playing Fields. Liam Adams got a hat-trick of goals for Saint City, on Saturday. And finally, Vallance FC made it two wins from their first two league games at step 8 of the Essex Alliance Football League, with a big 7-1 home win against City Of Westminster. Brady Landu got another four goals for Vallance, in this game, meaning that the Vallance centre-forward has now scored eight goals from his first two league appearances, helping the east London club to a perfect start to this season.
