There have been some exceptional high scoring wins for teams in the Middlesex County Football League in recent times, the following short piece looks at three such brilliant wins for teams who have played in the Middlesex League since its formation.
Chiswick Homefields FC 17-0 Harrow St Mary’s: Back in the 2009/10 Middlesex League Division One (West) season, then Middlesex Football League sides Chiswick Homefields and Harrow St Mary’s, faced each other in this spring fixture. Harrow St Mary’s had only won league match going into this game with Chiswick Homefields, at Fullers Griffin Brewery Sports Ground, in Chiswick. However, the home side would record one of the results of the Middlesex League season, with an incredible 17-0 win over bottom of the table Harrow St Mary’s. There were eight different goalscorers for the home side, with Waseem Khalique and Jamie Ingley both scoring four goals each.
Freezywater FC 0-18 FC Baresi: FC Baresi are now a step 6 side. However, during the 2006/07 season, the club from London were playing in the Division Three (East) of the Middlesex Football League. When they faced Freezywater FC, in 2007 at Town Mead Leisure Park, FC Baresi would record an outstanding 18-0 win, with Marvin Smith scoring five of those goals. Marvin Smith still plays for FC Baresi, during the current 2024/25 season.
CAV Northolt Reserves 19-0 Osterley Park Rangers: On the 23rd of February 1991, CAV Northolt Reserves would beat Osterley Park Rangers 19-0, in the old Division Two of the Middlesex Football League. CAV Northolt Reserves finished in third place in Division Two during that season, recording one of the biggest victories in Middlesex League history on that day in February, 1991.
