My weekly round-up of the Middlesex County Football League (step 7 to step 9):

The week’s Middlesex County Football League action started on Tuesday night, as SL Benfica won 5-2 at home to Kodak (Harrow), at Spratleys Meadow. Then on Wednesday night, Hayes & Hillingdon won 3-1 at home to Shepherds Bush. On to Saturday the 29th March, when the vast majority of fixtures were played, starting with the Camden United versus Kodak (Harrow) match, at New River Stadium. This Premier Division fixture was won 1-0 by the home side, Camden United, with Arif Bala scoring the winning goal. Another north London club in the Premier Division, in Camden & Islington United, also won on Saturday afternoon. Camden Islington beat Hayes & Hillingdon 4-1 (away), as they continue to challenge for the league title, even though they have played more games than the league leaders, SL Benfica. For Camden & Islington, Billy Doyle, Josh Gruby, Karl Usher-Williams, and Cameron Ward got their goals, in this very impressive win.

A hat-trick from Hocine Krouchi (he scored one goal with his left foot, another from the penalty spot, and one headed goal), helped Soccer Stars Fennecs to a 3-1 away win over Indian Gymkhana Club. Also in the Premier Division, Kensington Dragons would draw 3-3 with Larkspur Rovers, and SL Benfica won 4-1 away to Pitshanger Dynamo. The final match taking place in the Premier Division, saw Stonewall win 5-3 at home to Shepherds Bush, at London Marathon Community Track. Kola Soyoye, James Motley, Jay Lemonius, and Dan Whitehouse got Stonewall’s goals in that win. In the Division One East & Central, and Apollo London won 4-1 at home to Camden & Islington United Reserves, and Stonewall Reserves won 1-0 away (Mustapha Ghardiane got the winning goal) to Hackney Wick Reserves, at Hackney Marshes.

In the Division One South & West, goals from Jovan Bains, Hashim Ahmed, Rashardo Gordon, Adshayan Saravanamuthu (Adshayan got two goals), and Preet Singh, helped AFC Southall to an empathic 6-1 win over SL Benfica B. Also in that division, Harrow United recorded an important 3-1 win over Ruislip Town, and the Hayes Town versus Brentham game was awarded to Hayes Town, as Brentham were unable to field. In the Division One North & West, Eagles Land Cricklewood XI won 5-2 away to Brent United, and the Hillside AFC versus Portobello game was awarded to Hillside AFC. And at London Tigers Sports Complex, I was in attendance for what was a very good quality game between title challengers Wood Lane, and Harrow Bhoys. That match finished in a 2-2 draw, and you can read my match report from that game, here – https://nonleagueandacademyfootballwriter.co.uk/2025/03/29/wood-lane-fc-2-2-harrow-bhoys-fc-my-match-report-from-london-tigers-sports-complex/

Next week, on Saturday the 5th of April, Larkspur Rovers face Camden & Islington United (at home), in a semi-final tie of this season’s Alec Smith Premier Division Cup. That is my highlighted Middlesex League fixture of the week.
