My weekly round-up of the Middlesex County Football League (step 7 to step 10):

There was plenty of midweek action in the Middlesex County Football League, from Monday to Thursday. On Monday night, Soccer Stars Fennecs recorded a good 4-1 away win over Hilltop Reserves, at Harris Lowe Academy. On Tuesday night Shepherds Bush would win 2-1 (away) against Kodak (Harrow), and Hayes & Hillingdon won 2-0 away to London Tigers. On Wednesday night Camden & Islington United won 5-1 at home to Pitshanger Dynamo, and Larkspur Rovers bolstered their chances of avoiding relegation from the Premier Division, with an important 3-0 away win against Indian Gymkhana Club. There were also three Middlesex League games taking place on Thursday night. With Jolof Sports beating Hilltop Reserves 2-1, Soccer Stars Fennecs winning 3-2 away to Kensington Dragons, and Camden United winning 5-3 away to Shepherds Bush.

On to a busy day of football on Saturday afternoon, now. Eagles Land Cricklewood won 3-0 at home to Indian Gymkhana Club. It was a very good afternoon for title challengers Hayes & Hillingdon, who won 8-1 at home to Kodak (Harrow), and Camden & Islington United would also do very well on Saturday, to win 6-1 away to Hilltop Reserves. Josh Gruby would get his second hat-trick of the week, in that win for Camden & Islington. Also in Premier Division action on Saturday, Jolof Sports would draw 1-1 with Larkspur Rovers, and Kensington Dragons would win 2-1 at home to Shepherds Bush.

London Tigers would draw 1-1 with Pitshanger Dynamo, at London Tigers Sports Complex, and there was a big game between inform Soccer Stars Fennecs and SL Benfica, at Paddington Recreation Ground. SL Benfica would win that game 2-1, courtesy of goals from Rafael Barbosa Dos Santos and Diogo Da Silva. A win for SL Benfica tomorrow (against Larkspur Rovers), would take them to within two points of Camden & Islington in the table, with two more games remaining for both sides after that.

In the Division One South & West (on Saturday), SL Benfica B lost 3-1 at home to AFC Southall, and the away win was awarded to Ruislip Town, with Hayes Town unable to field. There were some high scoring games in the Division One North & West, yesterday. Goals from Kamaal Nur, who got a hat-trick, Khaled Omar, Moustafa Sa’ad, Obayda Kallam, and Zakariya Ali, helped inform Wood Lane to an emphatic 7-0 victory over Eagles Land Cricklewood XI, as they edge ever closer to the Division One North & West title. Also, Harrow Bhoys were awarded the win against Brent United, who were unable to field.

In The Russell Grant Division 2, Kodak (Harrow) Reserves warmed up for next Saturday’s very important Eddy Mee Division Division Two Challenge Cup final with Eastcote British Legion, with a good 3-1 away league win over Townmead, yesterday. In the Saturday Combination, and AFC Heathrow won 2-1 away to Cuckoo Hill, and the team that they’ll be facing in next Saturday’s Jeff Nardin & Combination Cup final, Feltham Town, also won yesterday. As they won 3-2 at home to CB Hounslow & Abbots Reserves, in their final league match of the 2024/25 season. Dieleme Gabriel Panda, Woody Scott, and Tyrell Stephenson got Feltham Town’s goals on Saturday. My highlighted Middlesex League game of next week, is the Jeff Nardin & Combination Cup final, between Feltham Town and AFC Heathrow, at Uxbridge FC.
