Bilal Hussain has been in great form for Frenford Development, during the 2024/25 season, in the Essex Alliance Football League Senior Division. Having scored an impressive 20 goals, as well as providing 15 assists from midfield for Frenford Development, so far this season, Bilal has made a very big contribution to the step 7 side, who with one league fixture remaining, are so close to securing a top five finish in the league.
Bilal Hussain has previously played for Gants Hill, London APSA, Clapton Community, and CSM London. A versatile player who can play out wide, as a winger, or in the CAM position, Bilal is a very intelligent player, who is very capable of making a real impression on the game. He can go forward with the ball well in the final third, being able to turn well under pressure with the ball. And, in a league fixture against Philip United earlier on this season, the 27 year old really showed his quality, with a worthy player of the match performance.
In that game with Philip United, he really showed his all-round quality as a player. He worked hard off the ball, impressing with his movement in the final third, as well as being so creative with the ball at his feet. Bilal really took control of that game, taking players on, and showing some superb close ball control, in what was an excellent all-round performance.
The son of former London APSA and Sporting Bengal United captain, Urfat Hussain, who attends all of Bilal’s matches, Bilal has some very good experience in non-League football, especially with Clapton Community. Having made 24 competitive appearances for Geoff Ocran’s side, during their Middlesex League days, Bilal scored goals against the likes of PFC Victoria London and Hilltop, during his time with Clapton Community.
As a CAM Bilal is always looking to make late runs in to the penalty area. He is creative, both in his movement and in possession of the ball, but, one of his greatest qualities on the pitch is that he is a great left foot. He is a fine finisher and a set-piece specialist, who has a lot of really good attributes as a footballer. There’s a lot of quality in the lower levels of non-League football, and Bilal Hussain is a great example of that quality. He has had a fantastic season for Frenford Development, one in which has also seen him help the side to reach a county cup final, and the semi-finals of the Senior Division Cup.
