On Saturday afternoon there was a decent amount of league fixtures taking place, as the 2024/25 Middlesex County Football League season gradually comes towards its end. Starting with the Division One East & Central, and Westminster & Kensington were awarded the win for their fixture against Alexandra Knights, with the away side unable to field on the day.
In the Division One South & West, and Brentham would lose 3-2 at home to SL Benfica B, meaning that they need to win against Feltham (next Saturday), to avoid finishing bottom of that division. Craig Laurencin and Joe Jackson got Brentham’s goals on the day. In the same division, at Pole Hill Open Spaces, CB Hounslow & Abbots A won 3-2 against AFC Southall, and Harrow United were awarded the points against Ickenham. Harrow United finish the season one point off the champions, Sporting Duet Academy.
In Division One North & West, Bessingby Park Rangers were awarded an away win against Brent United, and in The Russell Grant Division 2, FC Sunbury were awarded the win against Eastcote British Legion, who are already champions of that division. Also in that step 9 division, and Townmead secured a top two place finish, with an important and hard fought 3-2 win over Kodak (Harrow) Reserves, at Harrow Weald Recreation Ground.
In the Jeff Nardin Division, a fine performance from Kodak (Harrow) 3rds, saw them win 3-0 at home to Heston, courtesy of goals from Robert Graham, Wiktor Jachowicz, and Ricco Godfrey-Brown. And, congratulations to Sudbury Court on winning this season’s Jeff Nardin Division, with a 4-1 win over CB Hounslow & Abbots 3rds, on Saturday. For Sudbury Court, Lewis Evans, Shikib Nouri, Saed Osman, and Anas Shaikh got their goals. Next Saturday, the Brentham versus Feltham fixture, is my highlighted Middlesex League match of the week.
