Kishawn James is one of the quickest players in the Thurlow Nunn League First Division South, and he also has great ability with the ball in the final third of the pitch. A very direct forward, who can play at centre-forward, or out wide on either flank, hardworking FC Baresi youngster Kishawn James is now starting his second season with the step 6 club. From St. Lucia, Kishawn played football there for clubs such as El Niños FC. Since playing his football in non-League however, Kishawn played for Frenford Development, in the Senior Division (step 7) of the Essex Alliance Football League. Doing really well at the east London’s club development side, Kishawn would move to FC Baresi in the summer of 2024, following the club’s promotion to step 6.
On the occasions that I saw Kishawn James play for Frenford Development, he always impressed. And since moving to FC Baresi, where he has tested himself at a higher level of non-League football, the skilful forward has definitely improved further in his all-round game. Finishing last season as FC Baresi’s top goalscorer in all competitions, Kishawn put in some very good performances, from a number of different positions. So far this season and after three competitive matches played, he has scored one goal and also provided one assist.
Good at creating space for himself, Kishawn is excellent when going on surging forward runs with the ball. With his outstanding pace, one v one ability with the ball and finishing inside of the penalty area, he is very capable of causing a lot of problems for the opposing team’s defence. When making those runs in behind of the defence, and also playing off a centre-forward, Kishawn is very difficult to defend against. A player who I think still has a lot of potential, Kishawn James is going to be a very important player, once again, for Tufail Amjad’s FC Baresi side during this season. FC Baresi and Kishawn James’ next match is on Saturday of this week, at home to league leaders Hutton. I wish Kishawn all the very best for the remainder of this season.
