The first round of fixtures in the Premier Division of the Middlesex County Football League were played on Saturday, with this being my first weekly review of the new 2025/26 season. Starting at Wembley FC, and Eagles Land Cricklewood would start the season off with three points. The home side on Saturday afternoon would record a 3-1 win against London Fennecs, courtesy of goals from Mahdi Abedini, Lorik Krosniqi, and Anton Watson-Andrews. At the West Ham Memorial Ground, Jolof Sports won 6-2 against Hilltop Reserves, as they started the season in style. Braces from Kaine Flemy and Hervan Volney, as well as goals from Yousupha Gaye and Micah Owolabi helped the east London club to victory, on the day.
There was a hard fought win for Kodak (Harrow), who won 2-1 at home to Indian Gymkhana Club, and at Harris Lowe Academy, the visiting side (Camden United) won 3-1 away to Premier Division debutants Wood Lane, in what was a good game of football. The final game which took place yesterday, was between Larkspur Rovers and Stonewall, at Lord Halsbury Playing Fields. Eric Najib’s Stonewall side would put in an impressive performance, winning the game 3-0. Stonewall’s goals were scored by Coltrane Morley-Williams (x2) and Kolawole Soyoye.
Next week there is one midweek fixture – on Wednesday evening, between Larkspur Rovers and Kodak (Harrow), and then on Saturday afternoon there are seven Premier Division fixtures that will be taking place. My highlighted Middlesex County Football League game of next week, is between Hayes & Hillingdon and Camden & Islington United (at Uxbridge FC) on Saturday. That league fixture is both side’s first of this season.
