At steps 9 and 10 of the Middlesex County Football League, there are two divisions for the 2025/26 season. They are The Russell Grant Division 2, and the recently merged Jeff Nardin & Combination Division. Starting with The Russell Grant Division 2, and departing the division are Eastcote British Legion, who were promoted to step 8 of the Middlesex League – Division One. They have since become Ruislip Rangers, after merging with them during the summer. Also promoted, were Townmead and Wiseman West, who will also be competing in Division One during the 2025/26 season. Also, Kensington Dragons Blues will now be competing in the Jeff Nardin & Combination Division.
Joining The Russell Grant Division 2 for this season, are Sudbury Court, Foxes, Heston, and Hounslow Lions, who were all promoted from the Jeff Nardin Division, last season. In addition, London Athletic were promoted from last seasons Saturday Combination Division, and Old Isleworthians have been promoted to this division of the Middlesex League, also from the Saturday Combination. There are two new sides who are joining this division for the 2025/26 season – they are Tajik Unity and R F Elite. From last season (2024/25), FC Sunbury, Southall Athletic and Kodak (Harrow) Reserves will remain in this division for this season.
There’s been a lot of change in terms of promotions up to The Russell Grant Division 2, for this season. It’s going to be a very interesting season, and to mention just some of the teams who I reckon can really challenge for the league title/promotion to Division One, are London Athletic and Kodak (Harrow) Reserves, but it will be great to see newly promoted sides such as Sudbury Court (a famous and well known name in Middlesex League history!) compete at a higher level of the Middlesex League, during this season.
The newly named/merger Jeff Nardin & Combination Division will be another highly competitive division within the Middlesex League, this season. New clubs who are joining the league/this division are as follows: Explorers, FH Whistlers Originals (I think that I’ll be covering their opening game of this season, next month), West London Wanderers, Indian Gymkhana Club Reserves (their reserve team have rejoined the league for the 2025/26 season), OHM Sports, and The Isleworth.
Having finished in second place in last seasons Jeff Nardin Division standings, Kodak (Harrow) 3rds will be one of the teams who could do well this season. However, Feltham Town have impressed me in the past on the two occasions that I have seen them, as have AFC Heathrow, and I think that both teams will do well this season. It will be very interesting to see how the new teams who have joined this division will do for the coming season, and it will also be interesting to see how Old Isleworthian Reserves and CB Hounslow & Abbots 3rds will do, in addition to Kensington Dragons Blues.
I’m looking forward to covering all of the divisions of the Middlesex League during season 2025/26. I would like to wish all of the sides who are competing in both The Russell Grant Division 2, and the Jeff Nardin & Combination Division, all the very best for the season ahead.
