A piece on Lymore Gardens player Alex Coster – A superb player with great technique:

Alex Coster has made a real impact since joining Lymore Gardens. Formerly a player for clubs such as Brimsdown, and Hackney Wick. Alex Coster is a versatile player who as a midfield/forward player, is a real orchestrator on the pitch. Ahead of Friday evenings historic FA Vase first qualifying round tie against step 5 side Woodford Town (this is Lymore’s first time entering the FA Vase), I thought that I’d write a piece on Alex Coster. It is in midfield and forward areas that Alex Coster, a player with good experience within non-League football, is at his very best. Last season at step 7 (in the Essex Alliance Football League Senior Division) he was one of the most technically gifted players in that league, and despite now being at step 6 of the non-League pyramid for this season with Lymore, that still remains the case.

Alex Coster’s tremendous work rate, strength and ability to shield the ball from opposition teams players, is just one side of his game. However, Coster’s ability to turn so well on the ball, link the play, and work his way out of tight spaces so effectively, makes him such a key player for Lymore Gardens. Coster is one of many highly creative players within Lymore’s squad. A fine passer of the ball, who likes to drop deep to get on the ball and create chances, his free roaming style of play makes him a very difficult player to stop from getting on the ball, progressing it forward effectively, and ultimately creating chances for his teammates. Alex Coster is also a fine finisher, and his skill on the ball, and his technique at hitting a football, is very good. What an impact he has made on Lymore Gardens. Since joining the club he has been immense, and he will continue to be, during the remainder of this season. He has been key to Lymore’s excellent start to the season.
