With no midweek fixtures taking place in the Premier Division of the Middlesex County Football League, all of the fixtures took place on the Saturday of this week. At Brunel University Sports Complex, the visiting side (Camden United) won a thrilling game of football 6-3, against Harrow United. For Leon Louis’ Camden United side, Mohammed Hassan (he got a hat-trick of goals), Bruno Lee-Khan (x2), and Henry Clark, got their goals. In east London (at West Ham Memorial Ground), Hayes & Hillingdon won their second league match of the season, with a 2-1 away win over Jolof Sports. Liam Walford and Tommy Austin got the goals for Gavin Shepherd’s side.
At Lord Halsbury Playing Fields, Larkspur Rovers got their second win of the new season, winning 2-0 at home to PFC Victoria London Reserves. And in a high scoring game at Club Des Sports, LBS Lions, courtesy of a hat-trick from the excellent Matteo Toti, picked up their first win in the Premier Division, winning 3-2 at home to Kodak (Harrow). There was another high scoring game on Saturday afternoon, this time at London Tigers Sports Complex. With London Fennecs winning their second consecutive league match, as they won 6-4 at home to Camden & Islington United. In what sounded like a very good game of football, Ahmed Ayoub, Michael Babarinde (x2), Sofian Hammouda (x2), and Ramy Rouighi, got the goals for London Fennecs.
Finally, at Harris Lowe Academy, Wood Lane got their first ever win at step 7 on Saturday. As they won 3-2 against Indian Gymkhana Club. For Wood Lane, Yusuf Khalaf, Ahmed Kadiye, and Drilon Shabani got their goals. After a Saturday of good and high scoring games, next Saturday will see eight Premier Division matches taking place. The game that I would like to highlight next Saturday (I will be covering a Thurlow Nunn League First Division south fixture between two former Middlesex League sides, in NW London, and FC Bares, on that day), takes place at Harrow Weald Recreation Ground. Kodak (Harrow) face Camden United at that venue, and it will be interesting to see whether Kodak can return to winning ways, or whether Camden United can maintain their perfect start to the new season.
