A piece on Adão Manuel: FC Baresi’s talented defender, who already has great experience in football:

Despite only being 25, FC Baresi player Adão Manuel has some fantastic experience of playing football, particularly during his time in academy football, with the likes of Manchester City. Adept at playing on either side of the pitch as a full-back, the former England Under 16 international, from Manchester, whose former teammates (at both club and international level) includes Phil Foden, Jadon Sancho and Marc Guéhi, would start out in academy football with Manchester City. Adão would later sign scholarship forms with Crewe Alexandra, and his more recent footballing journey would take him to Sweden, for a short time, before playing for Mount St. Mary’s Mountaineers during his time studying in the USA.

Very composed and calm when in possession of the ball, the player who joined Thurlow Nunn League First Division South side FC Baresi this summer, is a versatile defender. Adão is very comfortable at playing as a full-back on either flank, and with very good one v one defending and impressive reading of the game, after an impressive pre-season with FC Baresi, he has been unlucky with injuries since the season started in July.

Having made five competitive appearances for Tufail Amjad’s FC Baresi side so far this season, Adão returned from injury as a second half substitute last Saturday, in Baresi’s 2-2 draw with Clapton Community. Adão has been on a fascinating footballing journey so far, one which many dream of achieving, such as representing England on the international stage, as well as playing for top academy sides. His return from injury will hopefully see Adão go on to get a really good run of games for FC Baresi. Someone with so much to be proud of for what they have achieved in football, Adão and FC Baresi’s next match is on Wednesday, when they face Hoddesdon Town at Wodson Park, in a very important league fixture.
