Makism Todoshchuk is a central-defender who as well as having real quality on the ball, he is a very good all-round defender, who has made 21 competitive appearances for step 6 side Lymore Gardens, so far this season. Maksim has been with Lymore Gardens for a number of years now, since their days in the Essex Alliance Football League. He was recently announced as Lymore Gardens’ player of the month for November, an award in which he greatly deserved to win, following some really strong defensive performances for the club, who play their football in the Thurlow Nunn League First Division South.
A tall central-defender, Makism is also capable of playing up front as a centre-forward, although these days his main position is in defence. He has formed really good central-defensive partnerships with both Papa Ndiaye and John-Jay Mooney, so far during the 2025/26 season. Lymore’s story so far, from their debut season at step 6 of non-League football, has been remarkable. Well in with a chance of winning the Thurlow Nunn League First Division South, as well as being outstanding in the FA Vase. Lymore are currently in the last 32 of this season’s FA Vase, where they will face step 5 Combined Counties Football League Premier Division North side Reading City (away), next month.
Maksim has for so much of this season been right at the heart of the Lymore defence, in both the league and also throughout their journey in the FA Vase. Confident on the ball, very commanding and strong in defence, Makism Todoshchuk reads and adapts to defensive situations on the pitch well, and he is so good in defensive and one versus one duels. The Lymore defender is also very strong in the air. What a season it continues to be for both Lymore and Maksim, and I wish both the club and Maksim all the very best for the remainder of what will undoubtedly be a very interesting end to the season.
