A piece on Lymore Gardens and Baddoo FC player Yinka Akinlabi:

Yinka Akinlabi is an excellent one versus one defender, who as well being a big part of his Sunday team, Baddoo FC (of the Hackney & Leyton Sunday Football League Premier Division), he also plays for Lymore Gardens (he has been at the club for a long time) of the Thurlow Nunn League First Division South (step 6). Yinka plays mainly at right-back, in defence for Lymore Gardens. Very good on the ball, Yinka likes to step into midfield with the ball. But, as a defender, the player who has made 22 competitive appearances for Lymore so far during this historic season for the club, is a very good defender.

Yinka’s very capable of defending one versus one to great effect. However, he isn’t just a fine defender, as going forward down the flanks, he can progress the ball forward really well. Yinka defends at a really good intensity and he is a good leader on the pitch, for Lymore. Baddoo FC are currently in second place in the Premier Division of the Hackney & Leyton Sunday Football League, after 10 league matches played so far this season. The established Sunday team are in with a real chance of winning this season’s Premier Division, and they were unfortunate to be knocked out of both the FA Sunday Cup, as well as the London Sunday Challenge Cup, during this season.

Yinka is very well respected at both Lymore Gardens, and of course at his Sunday team, Baddoo. Yinka is a top player, and part of a very talented Lymore squad, and with so much to play for during the rest of this season, I wish Yinka all the best for the remainder of this season, in both Saturday and Sunday football.
