A piece on FC Baresi player Eugene Sagoe:

FC Baresi player Eugene Sagoe used to play for Aveley Under 23s and Frenford Development, prior to joining the step 6 club during the early stages of the current 2025/26 season. Eugene is a very versatile player, who works exceptionally hard off the ball for his team. Having made 18 competitive appearances for FC Baresi so far this season, Eugene mainly plays in the CAM position, but he can also play out wide on either flank as a winger.

Good and effective on the ball, Eugene’s movement off the ball is good, as is his excellent off the ball pressing, and he always gives 100% on the pitch. A skilful player, when he does play in the CAM position, Eugene likes to get on the ball, be direct with it, and also try to make things happen. I personally thought that one of Eugene’s best games for FC Baresi, so far, came in their 2-0 away win over Burnham Ramblers, when he played in the CAM position. However, he is a consistent player, who is still a young player as well, and who will only get better and better in every game that he plays in.

I wish Eugene and FC Baresi all the best for the remainder of this season. FC Baresi’s next match is a big Thurlow Nunn League First Division South fixture against Clapton Community, at Wodson Park, on Saturday afternoon. That promises to be a good game, and one in which should be played in front of a good crowd of supporters.
