My review of the 2025/26 Middlesex County Football League Division One Central season, so far:

Although I didn’t get a chance to write a review, as league press officer of the Middlesex County Football League, on the league’s Division One Central, at the end of last year, finally I’ve managed to write my review of the season, so far. This is a competitive step 8 division of the Middlesex League. FH Whistlers are currently enjoying a really good season. And, it is the Brentham based club, who lead the way in this division (with 37 points), after 14 league matches played. They have lost one game in the league so far this season, and I have heard a lot of good things about FH Whistlers as a team, so far this season.

Although an impressive FH Whistlers side are well positioned at the top of the Division One Central table, there is very much a title race taking place in this division of the Middlesex League. Ruislip Rangers, following their merger with Eastcote British Legion, last summer, are in second place in the league standings. They are currently on 32 points, after 14 league matches played. They are a fine side, who play their football to good effect.

In third place, are Bessingby Park Rangers, who in there second season at step 8, after 12 league matches played, are currently on 31 points after 12 league matches played, are in with a real chance of winning this division. And there is another side, who are also in the title race. Harrow Bhoys have 30 points after 13 league matches played, and they are a very experienced side, who could potentially really challenge for the league title, during the remainder of this season. Harrow Bhoys are also doing well in this season’s Middlesex FA Intermediate County Cup competition, and they are in the semi-finals of that prestigious county cup. They will face Premier Division side Stonewall, in the next round of that competition, next month.

In fifth place in the Division One Central table, is Casual Ballerz, who are currently in their debut season in this league. They are followed by a good Celtic (1995) side, a youthful Brent United side, and then a very famous name in the Middlesex League, in Brentham. Finally, in the bottom two places in the league table, are London Tigers, who are on seven points after 16 league matches played, and then London Athletic, who are on three points, after 12 league matches played.

A very interesting end to the season awaits, especially in the Division One Central title race. I hope to do a couple of match reports on Division One Central matches before the end of this season.

The three top goalscorers in Division One Central, at this point of the season:

  • Efraim Odette Difuanmna-Ngungi – 17 (FH Whistlers).
  • Jordan Coles – 15 (Harrow Bhoys).
  • Joseph Rice – 11 (Ruislip Rangers).
