A piece on the Middlesex FA Intermediate Cup (2025/26), as we approach the semi-finals stage of this county cup:

There are four teams still remaining in this season’s Middlesex FA Intermediate Cup, ahead of the semi-finals stage of this prestigious county cup competition, next month. Both semi-finals will take place on Saturday the 14th of March. As Harrow United host Winchmore Hill, and Harrow Bhoys face Stonewall, in the other semi-final tie.

Harrow United, of the Premier Division of the Middlesex County Football League, are currently in their first season at step 7, and they are a talented side, who beat Kensington Dragons 3-1 in the quarter-finals of this competition, and who also won against teams such as Indian Gymkhana Club, on their way to the semi-finals of this competition. They are one game away from their first final in this competition, and what an achievement that would be, in what has been a fine debut season at step 7, for Harrow United.

Facing Harrow United in the semi-finals of this county cup competition, are a fine Winchmore Hill side, of the Southern Amateur Football League, who entered this competition in round one, when they beat OIR FC, 6-2. That semi-final tie promises to be very interesting, and highly competitive. In the other semi-final tie, Harrow Bhoys will face Stonewall, at Roger Bannister Sports Centre, in Harrow. Harrow Bhoys are currently in fourth place in the Division One Central of the Middlesex County Football League (step 8), and they are a well established club, who have a very experienced squad of players.

Harrow Bhoys won against the likes of Brentham and Ickenham on route to this stage of this county cup. It’s been another fine season for Sam Brown’s side, but they will have to be at their very best to win against Stonewall in the semi-finals. Eric Najib’s Stonewall side are very well established in the Premier Division of the Middlesex County Football League, and including this county cup competition, which is their first ever time reaching the last four of a county cup competition, they are still in two cups this season. Stonewall beat Brent United (5-2) in the quarter-finals of this competition, and before that they triumphed against Totteridge & Whetstone and AFC Southall, in the earlier stages of this competition.

I would like to wish all of the remaining teams all the very best of luck for the semi-finals of the Middlesex FA Intermediate Cup, and I’m definitely hoping to go to one of the semi-final ties next month, to do a match report on my blog.
