My weekly round-up of the Middlesex County Football League (Sundays):

In what is my first ever round-up of the Middlesex County Football League Sunday league, just like with my weekly round-ups of the Saturday league, I will be going through all of the results across every division of the Sunday league. Starting with the Premier Division, and in Chiswick, the visiting team, fourth place side Venceremos, won 2-1 against Grenfell Athletic, courtesy of goals from Raekwon Burrell and Charles Dodd. At Gunnersbury Park, there was a double header of Premier Division fixtures, between One Brotherhood and Ivy Leaf WD. One of those games finished goalless, as the other finished 2-1 to Ivy Leaf WD, thanks to goals from Reece Crotty and Ryan Nobes.

In Division One, in the Egham Stags versus Hennessys match, Egham Stags won 5-4. Then, in the same division, the current Division One leaders, Chiswick Celtic, won 2-0 away to Hounslow Wolves XI, with Zacharia Khlaf and Ruben King getting their goals. Moving on to Division Three now, and there was a big 6-1 away win for Harefield Legion, over Bedfont Sunday Reserves. Grove Park Rangers 1s won 2-1 away to Southall Athletic, and at Hanworth Villa TW Rangers and Club Assyria Reserves played out a 2-2 draw.

In Division Four North, Old Southall beat CB Hounslow & Abbots 4ths 3-0 (away), Chiswick Celtic Reserves and Hillingdon Stags played out a 1-1 draw, and Kensington Dragons (Sundays) beat Grove Park Rangers’s second team, 9-2. The final game taking place in that division on Sunday, was between Maida Villa and Jugg Boyz. That game was won 5-4 by Jugg Boyz.

Division Four South saw Whitton Wanderers Reserves win 3-0 away to Hearts Of Teddlothian, as top of the table, Richmond Saints, and West Drayton Reserves, both recorded 1-0 home wins against Moor Mead and Bedfont FC Dons, respectively. Moving on to cup competitions featuring teams from across the league, and a very good Shire United side came from behind against Division Two side Brentford Town, (the tie finished 3-3), to take this AFA Sunday Cup semi-final tie to penalties yesterday, as Shire United won on penalties to book their place in the final of this season’s competition.

In a semi-final tie of the Greg Ward Senior Open Cup, CB Hounslow & Abbots (Sundays) won 1-0 away to Hounslow Wolves, to book their place in the final at Uxbridge FC. After a 1-1 draw in round three of the Roger Perry Junior Open Cup, Heathrow Club progressed through to the next round of the competition, with a 3-1 win on penalties over Wishing Well Wanderers. And in a quarter-final tie of the same league competition, AFC Grove beat Sandgate on penalties, after the tie had finished 3-3 in normal time.

Princes Park United won 2-1 over Larkspur Rovers (Sundays), to book their place in the final of The Harry Wooster Division Two Cup. Meeting Princes Park United in the final, will be Uxbridge Athletic (Sundays), after they had won 3-1 at home to Newton City. And goals from Bilal Butt and Shaun Aram, helped Club Assyria to a 2-0 away win over Whitton Wanderers, in a quarter-final tie of The Danny Sharma Premier Division Cup. Next Sunday, my highlighted fixture of the week, is an important semi-final tie of the John Andrews Division One Memorial Cup, between Chiswick Celtic and FC Phoenix.
