My weekly round-up of the Middlesex County Football League (Saturdays):

In the Middlesex County Football League (Saturdays), I will start with the results from the league’s Premier Division. In the only midweek fixture, Kensington Dragons and London Fennecs played out a 3-3 draw. At the New River Stadium, Camden United recorded an important 5-2 win over Larkspur Rovers, courtesy of goals from Matheus Santana (x2), Romario Godfrey-Brown, Rhys Hajro, and Mateusz Zygmunt. At Wembley FC, another side who are still in the league title race, in Eagles Land Cricklewood, beat Camden & Islington United 4-0, on Saturday. Indian Gymkhana Club beat Hilltop Reserves 3-1, and there was a big win for Kodak (Harrow), who beat the league leaders, Sporting Duet, 4-2.

Hayes & Hillingdon were awarded the win ahead of their away Premier Division fixture with LBS Lions, and goals from Mohamed-Amin Astan and Arian Malecknia, resulted in Wood Lane beating title contenders London Fennecs 2-0, at London Tigers Sports Complex. There were two Premier Division sides who were competing in the semi-finals of the Middlesex FA Intermediate Cup, on Saturday. They were Harrow United, who lost 4-2 at home to SAL side Winchmore Hill, and Stonewall, who won on penalties against Division One side Harrow Bhoys, after that cup tie had finished 1-1 in regulation time, to set-up a final with Winchmore Hill, next month at Bedfont Sports FC.

In Division One East of the Middlesex County League, Hackney Wick Reserves beat Edgware & Kingsbury Reserves 3-0 (away), and FC Marylebone won 4-3 at home to Stonewall Reserves. In Division One West, second place side AFC Southall won in emphatic fashion (9-0) at home to Uxbridge Athletic. Explorers and Townmead were awarded the wins for their scheduled fixtures against Ruislip Town and Feltham (they have sadly folded), and Ickenham beat Wiseman West, 4-2.

In Division One Central, at London Marathon Playing Field, title contenders Bessingby Park Rangers beat Celtic (1995) 4-1, Brent United won 5-2 at home to Ruislip Rangers, and Brentham beat London Athletic (4-2) away. In The Russell Grant Division 2, FC Sunbury won 9-2 at home to Sudbury Court, at the Memorial Ground Old Isleworthians won 4-2 against Hounslow Lions, and the 1-1 draw between RF Elite and Kodak (Harrow) Reserves, means that Kodak are now officially champions of that division, for the 2025/26 season. Congratulations to all connected with Kodak (Harrow) Reserves.

In The Jeff Nardin & Combination Division, four out of the five scheduled fixtures took place last Saturday, with the one exception being the Kodak (Harrow) 3rds versus Holy Rood fixture, which was awarded to the home side, Kodak (Harrow) 3rds. At Green Lane Sports Club, the visiting side on Saturday, AFC Heathrow, won an entertaining contest with CB Hounslow & Abbots 3rds, 3-2. In the title race, league leaders FH Whistlers Originals boosted their chances of winning this division, with a 4-1 home win over Old Isleworthians Reserves, while another title contender, in West London Wanderers, won 5-4 away to OHM Sports. Finally, Feltham Town got the biggest win of the weekend in the league, as they beat The Isleworth 14-2 (away) at the Isleworth Club.

This Saturday sees the first two league cup finals of this season take place, at Uxbridge FC. The first of which (The Eddy Mee Division Two Challenge Cup final), between Kodak (Harrow) Reserves and Hounslow Lions, is my highlighted Middlesex County Football League fixture of the week. I will be in attendance at both the Eddy Mee Division Two Challenge Cup final, and also the Jeff Nardin & Combination Cup final, on Saturday, for what promises to be a great day of football.
