A short piece on FC Baresi goalkeeper Razvan Marcu:

Goalkeeper Razvan Marcu has personally really impressed me since joining FC Baresi, for their Thurlow Nunn League First Division South fixture against Lymore Gardens in late January, when he kept a clean-sheet in a 2-0 win for Baresi. An experienced goalkeeper who has so far made seven competitive appearances for FC Baresi this season, Razvan has also played for clubs/teams such as Enfield FC, Frenford FC and Frenford Development, already during the 2025/26 season. Comfortable with the ball at his feet, with that being important for the way in which FC Baresi play, Razvan is composed on the ball.

A very vocal goalkeeper, who always encourages his teammates and defenders in front of him, Razvan has made some top saves for FC Baresi, during his time at the club so far. Notably, his player of the match performance against Clapton Community, was an impressive one, in a narrow loss to the league’s second place side. However, he has been consistent in goal for FC Baresi, since joining head-coach Tufail Amjad’s side.

Very alert inside of his penalty area, ready to rush out of his goal at all times, if needed. Razvan is a positive influence on the side, who I wish all the very best to for the remainder of this season. Razvan also recently made a string of quality saves for step 7 side Frenford Development, against CSM London, when representing Frenford Development in that match.
