The top division (the Senior Division) of the quality Essex Sunday Corinthian Football League, is reaching its latter stages now, for season 2025/26. Leading the way in the Senior Division standings, after eight league matches played, is Brook Athletic, who are enjoying a really fine season. Brook Athletic, who are one of three sides who are competing for the prestigious Senior Division title this season, are one point ahead of another fine side in this division, in AC Milano (they have played seven league matches), going into their important league fixture with Yeni Bogazici, this Sunday. I am looking forward to covering Brook Athletic’s match this Sunday, as they continue to try and challenge for the league title. Also, the top goalscorer in this division at this stage of the season, is Brook Athletic player Shomari Barnwell, who has ten goals from five appearances.
As mentioned, AC Milano are in second place in the league standings, and they are also competing really well in cup competitions at this stage of the season. Then, in third place, on 12 points after five matches played, are the current champions, East London Ballers. Still in with a great chance of winning the title again this season, after an excellent 2024/25 season, East London Ballers are another quality side in this competitive division. They reached the semi-finals of the prestigious FA Sunday Cup for a second season running, in 2025/26. And, still in a number of cup competitions this season, there’s still so much to play for during the remainder of this season, for East London Ballers.
In fourth place and on 10 points after nine league matches played, are Baiteze Squad, who are then followed by Hatch Lane, who sadly folded during this season. Yeni Bogazici are then in sixth place in the league table, in what is their first season in this league, after having moved across from the Turkish Community Football Federation League. Yeni Bogazici also have a very important Corinthian Cup semi-final tie versus AC Milano, to look forward to later on this month. In seventh place in the league table is Colebrook Royals Seniors, who have played eight league matches. So much still to play for across the league and cup competitions, it will be an interesting end to the 2025/26 season.
