A preview of the 2025/26 Middlesex FA Sunday Intermediate Cup final:

The Gun Pub, and HMT Samsunspor will meet at Bedfont Sports Club on late Sunday morning, in the final of this seasons’ Middlesex FA Sunday Intermediate Cup. The Gun Pub play their football in Division 1 of the Camden Sunday Football League, where they are currently in third place, but still in contention to win their division. A very good and established side in Sunday football, The Gun Pub started their journey in this seasons’ Intermediate Cup, at the first round stage, when they beat NLR, of the Barnet Sunday Football League, 2-0 at home.

The Camden Sunday Football League side would then win 2-1 at home to Uxbridge Athletic Sundays, in round two, which setup a home quarter-final tie with Sandgate, which they won in emphatic fashion, 10-3. Then in the semi-finals, The Gun Pub would be drawn against a very tough opponent, in Highgate Albion 2nds (away). However, they would do really well to win that cup tie 2-0, to make it into this Sunday’s cup final. The team that they will be facing this Sunday, HMT Samsunspor, play their football in Division One of the Barnet Sunday Football League, where they are currently in sixth place, in that division.

HMT Samsunspor, like The Gun Pub, are a very good side, and this isn’t their only cup final of this season. With some really fine players in their side who also play Saturday football, HMT Samsunspor entered this seasons’ prestigious county cup competition in the second round. After beating Larkspur Rovers Sundays 6-3 in the second round, they would then draw 1-1 with Dar United (of the Middlesex County League), in the quarter-finals. However, the north London side would progress to the semi-finals of this competition on penalties (6-5). Then in the semi-finals, they would beat Shentree Athletic 4-2, away.

I will be covering this Sunday’s county cup final on my blog, and I would like to wish both sides all the very best of luck for what should be a great cup final.
