London Fennecs were deserved winners of the Middlesex County Football League Premier Division title, during season 2025/26. Zack Bettache’s excellent side, who play their home matches in east London, accumulated a total of 75 points from 32 league matches played. They often won in style during the season just gone, and I wish them well for next season, at step 6.
In second place and runners-up in the Premier Division, was a very good Hayes & Hillingdon side, who recorded 69 points last season. A side who I’m sure will be up there again next season competing for the Premier League title, Gavin Shepherd’s side also had the Premier Division’s top goalscorer in their side, in Liam Walford, who scored 31 league goals during the 2025/26 season. The top goalscorers last season (with 102 goals), Leon Louis’s Camden United side who had a good season, also winning The Alec Smith Premier Division Cup, as they finished two points behind Hayes & Hillingdon, in third place.
In their debut season at step 7, Sporting Duet finished in a very respectable fourth place out of 17 teams, three points behind Camden United. A team who did very well last season, Sporting Duet will be a team to look out for next season, in the 2026/27 title race. In fifth place in the league table, were Larkspur Rovers, who had a very good season last season. They were followed by an ever improving Kensington Dragons side, Eric Najib’s Stonewall side, and then Eagles Land Cricklewood, who I personally think will be real title contenders in season 2026/27.
The previous season’s (2024/25) runners-up, Camden & Islington, United finished the season in ninth place in the league table, with Premier Division debutants, a youthful and talented Harrow United side, finishing their first season at step 7, in tenth place in the table. And they were followed by another talented and youthful side who were in their first season in the Premier Division, in Wood Lane. Jolof Sports and then another Premier Division debutant, in LBS Lions, followed Wood Lane in the league table, respectively. Then, just above the bottom two places in this step 7 division, were Kodak (Harrow) and Indian Gymkhana Club.
Finishing in the bottom two places of the league table, was league debutants PFC Victoria London Reserves, and then Hilltop Reserves. Once again, this time as league press officer, it’s been a real privilege to cover the Premier Division across the course of the 2025/26 season. I wish all of the league’s Premier Division sides all the very best for next season. And I really do think that the 2026/27 Premier Division season will be one of the most competitive in recent memory.
