My weekly round-up of the Middlesex County Football League:

The first week of the Premier Division of the Middlesex County Football League Premier Division (Saturdays) got underway on Saturday. Starting with a historic fixture for league debutants, Apollo London. As last season’s Division One East winners got off to a good start in the Premier Division, by recording a 1-0 home win over Kodak (Harrow). You can read my match report from that game, here: https://nonleagueandacademyfootballwriter.co.uk/2026/08/15/apollo-london-fc-1-0-kodak-harrow-fc-my-match-report-from-broadfields-sports-ground/

There was a big opening day win for Camden & Islington United, as they beat Hayes & Hillingdon (2-0), at Northwood FC. For the north London club, Louis Filler and Jeremias Roques-Visi got their goals. Another north London side, in Camden United, would win in emphatic fashion in their season opener away to Hayes & Yeading United B, who they beat 12-0. In the goals for Camden United was Matheus Santana, who scored a hat-trick on Saturday. At Lord Halsbury Playing Fields, Larkspur Rovers also started their season off with a big win. With Larkspur winning 6-0 against Indian Gymkhana Club.

Another Premier Division debutant in FH Whistlers, got off to a fine start. As the Brentham based club won 4-2 (away) to a very good Sporting Duet side, yesterday afternoon. Finally, at the London Tigers Sports Complex, the visiting team, Stonewall, would win 4-2 away to Wood Lane. Goals from Abdulla Alsuwaidi (x2), Muhammad Yousuf Shahid, and Yuta Shirai, meant that Eric Najib’s side got off to a winning start. This coming week there are two midweek Premier Division fixtures taking place. My highlighted league fixture of the week however, is the Larkspur Rovers and Camden & Islington United fixture. That promises to be a really competitive and interesting match.
