After exiting this season’s FA Vase at the first qualifying round last Saturday, PFC Victoria London hosted Woodley United at Bedfont Sports Club on Wednesday evening, in a Combined Counties Football League Division One fixture. PFC Victoria had accumulated 9 points from their first five league matches of this season ahead of Wednesday’s game. With Woodley United on two points after their first five league matches played of the 2026/27 season. PFC Victoria would deservedly win this match 4-0.

PFC Victoria would start this game well, and at a good intensity right from the very start. Early on in the game, Aleksy Czekalski would get to a deep cross down the left-hand side of the Woodley box, before hitting a good effort against George Hurneyman’s crossbar. Then on the follow-up and from inside the penalty area, Kacper Kloc would see his powerful effort on goal be well parried by the Woodley goalkeeper. A couple of minutes later, and a good overlapping run from Roman Kindrat would see the PFC Victoria full-back meet Adam Dougui’s forward pass down the right flank. His good resulting cross into the Woodley box would find Kamil Zielinski, whose powerful low effort hit the goalkeeper’s right-hand post.

Just before PFC Victoria had taken an early lead, in the 20th minute of the game, Kamil Zielinski would power a good effort on goal (from 26 yards out) which was well kept out by George Hurneyman. And then soon after, following a really good spell in the game, PFC Victoria would deservedly take the lead. Aleksy Czekalski had sprinted to get the ball on the byline, before performing a brilliant and highly skilful Dimitar Berbatov-esque turn, to work the ball beyond a defender and into the Woodley box. He would then pass the ball across, and after being left by Kamil Zielinski, Kacper Kloc would get to it, before finish clinically into the bottom right-hand corner of the goal from eight yards out, 1-0.

Five minutes after having taken the lead, PFC Victoria would double their advantage for the evening. With Amara Chukwunta receiving the ball on the edge of the Woodley box, before curling a good low effort, under pressure, into the bottom right-hand corner of the goal, beyond the goalkeeper, 2-0. After Enow Ojong had hit a low effort from the right-hand side of the home team’s box, just wide across goal. PFC Victoria would then make it 3-0, on 42 minutes. With Kamil Zielinski stepping on to the ball on the edge of the Woodley penalty area, before skilfully taking the ball into the box, then rounding the goalkeeper and finishing well into the goal, 3-0.

In the 61st minute of the game, in the second half, PFC Victoria would further extend their lead. Aleksy Czekalski would dribble forward with the ball well down the left-hand side of the Woodley box, before being dispossessed of the ball by a defender. The ball would then roll out to Kacper Kloc on the edge of the penalty area, before doing well to curl the ball into the bottom right-hand corner of the goal, 4-0. In an uneventful remainder to the game, with the exception of a good pass from Woodley substitute Luke Cox, to Henry Mott in space down the left flank. Which in turn allowed Henry Mott to take the ball into the PFC Victoria box, before curling a low effort just wide of the goal, there weren’t many further goalscoring chances. 

A well deserved win for PFC Victoria, came about as the result of a good and impressive team performance from the home side on Wednesday. PFC Victoria’s deep-lying defensive-midfielder Amara Chukwunta was my player of the match this evening. He put in a very admirable performance, winning the ball and breaking up play well, and also keeping things moving in the midfield areas of the pitch. Amara Chukwunta also scored PFC Victoria’s second goal of the game. Special mentions must also go to Kacper Kloc, Roman Kindrat, and Kamil Zielinski on their influential performances in this good win for the home side, who face Oxhey Jets next, on Saturday afternoon.
