Apollo London FC’s second full season in the national league system (step 8) is almost complete. And what a season it has been for this seasons’ Division One East Middlesex County Football League champions. Former Amateur Football Combination side Apollo London have a superb record in their division this season, of 17 wins, two draws, and zero defeats, from 19 league matches played. The north London side have a really good team, and I’m sure that they’ll do well in the league’s Premier Division. However, this season, they have been in great form as a team, and it’s that consistency as a group, which has won them the title in convincing fashion.
Soccer Stars Ascenders, the current Division One East runners-up, are a very talented young side, who will be looking to finish their season well against Apollo on Saturday. And, they’ll be trying to stop Apollo London from becoming the first Division One side to go a whole season unbeaten, since London Fennecs in the 2023/24 season. Apollo have scored 83 goals in the league so far this season, with 24 of those goals being scored by their top goalscorer this season, in Errikos Biniaku. Apollo have a good balance to their squad, and they have some very experienced players in their team, such as the skilful Filipe Gaitano De Sousa Alcamtara, who is another player who has enjoyed a fine season with them.
Apollo know that this Saturday’s game against Soccer Stars Ascenders in Finchley, will be a another tough fixture, but on a day where they will be celebrating their achievements as a club this season after the final whistle, they will he hoping that they can finish the season in style.
