There have been a number of new signings who have joined step 6 Thurlow Nunn League First Division South side FC Baresi, for the 2026/27 season. The following piece includes a short summary of FC Baresi’s summer signings.

Amir Abbani: A highly skilful winger/forward, youngster Amir Abbani was previously with Sporting Hackney during the 2025/26 season. Unpredictable in his dribbling style, Amir also has an eye for goal. He scored his first goal for FC Baresi in a 5-2 home league win over Rayleigh Town, earlier on this month.

Daniel Alawode: A commanding and very vocal leader within defence. Daniel Alawode mainly plays in central-defence, although he can also play at full-back. Daniel is very good in the air and in the challenge. The 22 year old joined FC Baresi this summer, after some time spent at SAL side Nottsborough, during season 2025/26. Daniel was also previously at step 6 Combined Counties Football League Division One side London Samurai Rovers.

Richard Arhin: 19 year old forward Richard Arhin’s highly impressive goalscoring record for Division One Essex Alliance Football League side SP United, would have caught the attention of a number of sides. He would finish last season at Fairlop Rovers, before signing for FC Baresi during pre-season. Despite mainly playing at right-back so far this season, Richard has already scored two goals and provided one assist for Yannick Kamanan’s side. 

Roberto-William Asaro: A tenacious, skilful and reliable central-midfielder, Roberto-William Asaro joined FC Baresi during pre-season, after impressing. He has so far made three competitive appearances for FC Baresi, this season.

Ilyas Baig: Young FC Baresi goalkeeper Ilyas Baig is a real presence in between the posts. He has so far made three competitive appearances since joining the club, and he had previously played at a good level in Cyprus.

Saeed Emmanuel Bangura: Saeed made his debut for FC Baresi in their 2-1 away league win over Southend Manor at the weekend. A central-defender, he has previously represented Orpington FC and Carshalton Athletic.

Eduin Saul Cruz Aguilar: What an impression left winger Eduin Saul Cruz Aguilar has made on his new team, since joining during pre-season. The winger who has great pace, close control and end product in the final third, has so far scored two competitive goals and provided two assists for Yannick Kamanan’s side. He had previously played for Ocean Pacific in the Essex Alliance Football League, last season.

Korede Da Silva: The influential midfielder rejoined FC Baresi during the early stages of this season, having previously been at step 5 side Harlow Town. A classy young central-midfielder, Korede has provided two assists from six appearances so far this season. He was most recently named player of the match in FC Baresi’s 2-1 win over Southend Manor.

Mahmut Emirali: Mahmut Emirali is a young central-midfielder who joined FC Baresi at the start of pre-season. Effective in midfield and reliable on the ball. Mahmut works hard off the ball, but he is also effective on the ball, where he likes to play the ball forward. He has provided one assist for FC Baresi so far this season.

Luis Fernando Flores Hernandez: Also formerly of Ocean Pacific, the adventurous left-back likes to get forward down the left flank. He has so far made five appearances for FC Baresi, being named player of the match against AS London in the League Cup. Luis is also an impressive one versus one defender.

Jeremiah Francis: Assured and aggressive in central-defence, Jeremiah Francis has been a real leader out on the pitch for FC Baresi, in his first eight competitive appearances for them (he also scored against Southend Manor on Saturday) this season. He organises the defence very effectively, and he has put in some very impressive performances so far this season.

Mubaarak Hameed: Having previously played for CSM London and Dagenham United, young footballer Mubaarak Hameed is a technically gifted player who likes to influence the game in wide and forward areas. He has so far made four competitive appearances for FC Baresi this season.

Israel Kabengele: A centre-forward who if I recall was playing for Middlesex County Football League Premier Division side Indian Gymkhana Club, a couple of seasons ago. Centre-forward Israel Kabengele already has three goals in three appearances for FC Baresi this season, and he has made quite an impression on the team so far.

Nathan Jean Stanislas Kanga: A defender, Nathan Jean Stanislas Kanga made his FC Baresi debut in a 1-1 league draw with Enfield Borough earlier on this month. He was previously at SC Thamesmead and East Grinstead Town.

Mohamed Kone: A talented young full-back, Mohamed Kone signed for FC Baresi during pre-season.

Anthony Robert Murray-Bruce: A vastly experienced central defender in non-League football and a club legend at Sporting Bengal United, Anthony Robert Murray-Bruce is currently out injured for FC Baresi. However, the quality defender will be really looking forward to getting going at the club.

Divine Daniel Uche Nweze: Formerly of Hutton FC, Divine Daniel Uche Nweze is a very direct and skilful winger, who has so far scored and assisted one goal since joining FC Baresi. 

Kevin Odamtten: A defender who had a fine pre-season, former Cricklewood Wanderers player Kevin Odamtten has so far made three competitive appearances for FC Baresi this season.

Olatunde Omotayo: Having most recently played for Kulture FC, an experienced and commanding goalkeeper with great reflexes, Olatunde Omotayo has made three competitive appearances for FC Baresi, since joining the club this summer. He has also previously played non-League football in the Essex Senior League.

Issac Zumbu: The centre-forward scored his first goal for FC Baresi at the weekend, in memorable fashion over Southend Manor. And Isaac Zumbu had most recently played non-League football for Hambledon Town, and also Godalming Town.
