The 2026/27 Middlesex County Football League (Sundays) Premier Division season begins on the 13th of next month. The league’s Premier Division is down by one team from the previous season, to nine clubs. Hounslow Wolves (their first team has moved into Saturday football for this season), and CB Hounslow & Abbots (Sundays) have left the Premier Division of this league, for Division Two. Also, All Nations have left the league.

Looking ahead to this Premier Division season. And, can Club Assyria make it three Premier Division titles in a row? Well, if the last couple of seasons are anything to go by, then they surely have to be considered the favourites to win the title again, in 2026/27. They have a very talented squad of players, and last season Club Assyria also came close to winning the Middlesex FA County Premier Cup, losing 1-0 to FC Trent Park in the final. Hayes End Athletic are another very good Premier Division team, who finished last season in second place in the Premier Division table. Third and fourth place sides, Venceremos and Ivy Leaf WD respectively, are also really fine sides in the Premier Division.

In sixth place in the Premier Division table at the end of the 2026/27 season were Whitton Wanderers, who finished one place above One Brotherhood, who are a team that I think will really improve this season, on last season’s finish. In addition, Grenfell Athletic (they also have a Saturday team) will be looking to improve on their tenth place finish in the table from last season. We welcome a very good Egham Stags side to the Premier Division, for season 2026/27. They won their league and cup double last season. Also promoted from Division One at the end of last season, were Hennessys. An interesting and very competitive season awaits, and as league press officer I’ll be planning on covering a number of Premier Division fixtures over the course of this season.
